(Lethbridge, Alberta) The ATB Financial Lethbridge Rotary Dragon Boat Festival is excited to announce a new suite of logos and marketing materials in anticipation of its 20th anniversary. “We have been putting in a lot of work this year to make our 20th anniversary festival the best one yet” says Diane Randall, chair of the planning committee. “Over the last 20 years, the festival has grown tremendously and we are looking forward to achieving our vision of making the ATB Financial Lethbridge Rotary Dragon Boat Festival the signature dragon boat festival in Western Canada.”
The Lethbridge Dragon Boat Festival held its first event on a windy June weekend in 2002 with just 17 crews. Over the last 20 years, the festival has grown to include over 1,200 participants, 15,000 attendees, 200 volunteers and a host of vendors, food, and entertainment.
The Rotary Clubs of Lethbridge, responsible for organization of the event, are incredibly thankful for the support they have received from their title sponsor- ATB Financial, along with the many other sponsors who continue to sign on to become partners in this extraordinary event. “The Lethbridge Dragon Boat Festival would not be where it is today without the generous support from our community and sponsors” adds Todd Brown, sponsorship chair. “We look forward to highlighting all our generous sponsors in the weeks to come. After all, without them, this event would not be possible.”

Meanwhile, paddles are already hitting the water as teams gear up for the Dragon Boat racing portion of the festival. “My favourite part of preparing for the festival is working with the teams to help them get ready for the big race. I love seeing their camaraderie grow as we work towards the big weekend.” shares Karen Johnson, race chair. The early bird deadline for race registration closes April 15th so teams looking to register should do so soon.
The ATB Financial Lethbridge Rotary Dragon Boat Festival will take place at Henderson Park on June 24 – 26, 2022.
